THE STORY BEHIND VERBAL VOGUE CO.

Hi, my name is Jay, and its a long story... I am not a clinician. I went to school for marketing.

My wife, however, is an SLP. One of her favorite things to wear to work is scrubs. She has many reasons, but mostly because "they are super comfortable, and very practical when working with children" - (my wife, circa always).

I was listening to her discuss this notion with some of her friends (an OT and a PT) and the they were saying how much they also loved wearing scrubs and not stuffy office attire, because it is so restrictive when working with children, or so hard to clean if (when) it gets something on it. But they can't dress down, they are professionals with important jobs that change lives!

The issue they noted with scrubs was that it may be somewhat of a trauma-trigger for kids with long and hard medical histories to see someone in scrubs when they normally wouldn't. SLP's, PT's, and OT's can do their jobs so much more effectively if rapport and trust are quickly built - hard to do if someone doesn't trust medical staff - harder still if you look like medical staff! So a T-Shirt instead of a scrub top, was the next logical choice.

So fast-forward a brainstorming sesh later, and we are suddenly starting a T-Shirt company for clinicians under the premise "You can't wear just any ol' T-Shirt to work... You have to look professional or the parents won't respect you!" So my wife asked me to start a T-Shirt company that specialized in making attire for the busy clinician. Something simple, stylish, and fun, without sacrificing professional appeal, and most importantly - "comfort".

Now, welcome to VVCO: a clothing brand that aims to stock sleek, clean, clinical-themed T-Shirts (that are always work related *winkwink*) so that you can look, feel, and give your best, all while making you clients feel comfortable around you. One might even say it is, The Most Articulate Attire.
